How we handle your personal data, the cookies we use and the choices you have.
Who we are
This policy explains how ConfinaTech Ltd (“ConfinaTech”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data through confinatech.com, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for that data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect
When you ask for a quote or contact us
The quote form asks for your name, company (optional), email address, the type of equipment you are interested in and a description of the job. At the moment the form opens your own email app with the message filled in, so we receive it as an ordinary email. We also receive anything you choose to include in an email or attachment. If we move to an online form handler, the same fields will be sent to us through it [to confirm].
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting provider [to confirm] receives your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request so that it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. The quote form also runs simple spam checks in your browser (a hidden field and a timing check). These do not identify you.
Analytics, only if you agree
If you select “Accept” in the cookie banner, we use a privacy-focused analytics service [to confirm] to count page views and see which pages are useful: pages visited, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate country. It does not build a profile of you or track you across other websites. If you select “Reject” or make no choice, the analytics script is never loaded.
We do not use advertising or social media tracking, and we do not sell personal data.

We will not add you to a mailing list. If we ever want to send you marketing emails, we will ask first where PECR requires it, and every message will include a way to opt out.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, and only as far as they need it:
- our website host [to confirm], which serves the site and keeps short-term server logs;
- our email provider [to confirm], which stores the emails you send us;
- our analytics provider [to confirm], only if you have accepted analytics;
- an online form or spam-protection service, if we introduce one [to confirm];
- professional advisers such as our accountant, and carriers or manufacturers where needed to fulfil an order.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, for example to HMRC or the police.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. Ask us for details of the safeguard that applies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to an order: two years from our last contact, then deleted.
- Customer and order records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider [to confirm].
- Your cookie choice: stored in your browser for 12 months, after which we ask again.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use as little as possible. The site loads its fonts from our own server, so there are no requests to Google Fonts or other font services.

You can change your choice at any time using , which also appears at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection of analytics.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask for data you gave us to be transferred to another organisation, where applicable;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it to answer you.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use personal data changes, for example if we add an online form handler or change analytics provider. The date below shows when it last changed.
